Terms of sale
The seller is the company identified in the legal notice, incorporated in Hong Kong. Contact: the contact page. The brand shown to customers is Serein. The seller is not a French company.
We sell three pull-on knit sleeves as apparel, not as medical devices and not as clinic equipment. Knee: mid-compression, open over the kneecap, silicone grip, no hinge. Ankle: a low sleeve meant to sit inside an everyday shoe. Elbow: a sleeve with a softer zone at the inner elbow. Colours: black, white, and gray. Sizes: S, M, L, and XL, by joint circumference.
The only claims we make are comfort, support, ease of movement, and discretion under clothes. The goods are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Prices are stated outright. They are not a live exchange rate. Knee: €52 or $56. Ankle: €42 or $46. Elbow: €40 or $44. The set, one sleeve of each joint in any colour and any size: €114 or $124. Currency follows the shipping country: euros for France and the rest of the European Union, dollars for the United States. EU VAT and US sales tax are calculated at payment by Stripe Tax. The price on the product page is the merchandise price. Tax is shown before payment. The seller never stores the card number. Stripe processes the payment.
The contract is formed when payment succeeds, not when an item is added to the cart. The button labelled “Order and pay” is an order with an obligation to pay. An unpaid order may be cancelled and the stock released. Title passes when payment is received. Risk passes on delivery.
If a price is obviously wrong, the order may be cancelled before dispatch and the sums paid refunded in full.
Reviews are customers’ opinions, published after they are read. They are not statements by the seller.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any mandatory consumer right. Where the law allows it, any other liability is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned.
The seller is not liable for delay or failure caused by force majeure or by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
Hong Kong law applies only so far as it does not remove mandatory protections in the consumer’s country of residence. For a consumer in the European Union, Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation applies. For a consumer in France, French consumer law applies to those mandatory rules, and the French text prevails over the English text. For a consumer in the United States, mandatory federal and state law applies. The consumer may sue in the court the law gives them. Exclusive jurisdiction in Hong Kong is not imposed on a consumer. A class-action waiver and mandatory arbitration are not imposed on a consumer.
A French consumer may use free consumer mediation before going to court. The mediator’s name and website will be published in the legal notice once appointed. Information: https://www.economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso
A change to these terms applies only to future orders. An order already paid keeps the terms accepted at payment.
